British Values

Since September 2014, the DfE has reinforced the need ‘to create and enforce a
clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British
Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and
tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.’

Values are things which are important to us and central to our lives both as
individuals and collectively. They are deeply held principles that guide our
thinking, choices and behaviours and influence how we manage our emotions

British Values are:

We have linked these values to our school values and social cogs
in our PE curriculum.

Our Harmony Curriculum builds on British values to develop global values through the sustainable
development goals and connecting our learning to what we need for a sustainable and happy future.
